What is a Champion Pool ?
A champion pool is the combination of several roles and champions so that at the moment of playing you have clear their abilities and you can optimize this depending on your position and thus be able to have a higher percentage of victories.
The number of champions varies between 3 and 5 that you can master almost perfectly.
The first thing to do
The first step to have a champion pool is to define your main and secondary roles.
Example: Main (ADC) Secondary (TOP), with this clear you can start choosing your champions for these positions.
This is the most important part since you have a wide variety of champions for your roles but 1 or 2 should be what you play best and with which you feel more comfortable when you start your ranked. This will help you to climb higher in the games.
These are important to keep in mind because when entering a ranked team each team has 5 bans and within those there is a possibility of blocking one of your main champions so you must have another backup for your main position.
Another important relation of this is that you must know which is your counter and be able to ban him or in other case to be able to ban some counter that serves your team.
You must know another role for your champion pool
It may happen that on one occasion you get an auto-fill (a position that is neither your main nor secondary but something random to find a quick match) and for this you must have 1 or other champions that you know how to play so you don’t drag the game so much. Just concentrate on not dying so much if you don’t know much about the auto-fill you got.
Always remember to practice
To be able to master your main and secondary lines you must practice a good few hours, because at the moment of entering you have clear what to do and prepare your matchups calmly, this is only a guide to help but it is a good start to begin to climb in your ranked.
